Bedford County Court Administration is advising the public to stay vigilant against multiple reported jury duty phone, email and text scams. The scams involve calls that “spoof” or mimic court telephone numbers and email addresses. During the spoof, those being targeted are told they did not appear for jury service. The caller/email asserts that a warrant has been issued to place the individual under arrest, and threatens prosecution for failure to appear and demands payment.
