BC takes two games from Blacklick Valley

NANTY GLO — Lydia Myers hit a grand slam to highlight a 14-hit Bishop Carroll attack in a 15-12 victory over Blacklick Valley in the first game of a doubleheader on Monday in high school softball. Myers homered again in the second game as one of her three hits and helped Carroll hold off a Blacklick Valley rally and win, 7-6. Ali Heinrich had a two-run double for BC. Sprankle sparks Lady Eagles in victory

TYRONE — Amanda Sprankle hit a grand slam in the first inning on Thursday afternoon to spark the Tyrone softball team to a 16-13 victory over Clearfield in high school action. Six of the Tyrone hitters finished with multiple hits as the Lady Eagles improved to 2-1. Sprankle finished with five RBIs. Sidney Shay had three hits and six RBIs to go with three hits and three runs scored from Mikaylah Vincent. Shay had a homer and a double.
