Howard Dean Richardson Sr.

Howard Dean Richardson Sr., 87, Altoona, died Monday. He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Robert and Eleanor (Feltenberger) Richardson. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Phoebe; children: Fay Denny, Doris Benner, Howard II, Anthony and Jamie; many grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Snyder. He was preceded in death by three children: Clair, Mary and Eleanor; two sisters; and four brothers. Dean served in the Army National Guard and was a butcher and farmer all his life. There will be no public services. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 806 11th Ave., Altoona, with Father Frank Scornaiehchi, TOR, officiating. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery.
