Joseph T. Vanneman

Joseph T. Vanneman, 83, of Gallitzin, died Saturday. He was born in Penn’s Grove, N.J., son of the late Simon Vanneman and Lillian (Brumhammer) Sutphin. He was predeceased by brothers, William and Carl; and brother-in-law, John Franchetti. Surviving are his wife, Maria; sister-in-law, Debra Franchetti; and nephew, William Vanneman. Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as a police officer for many years. Family will gather privately at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., Gallitzin. A graveside service will be held Aug. 1, 2026, at Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, N.J.

Vicki Kay Caber

Vicki Kay Caber, 73, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Altoona, passed away early Friday morning with her children at her side. Vicki was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Gummo) Robinson of Bellwood. She was a 1970 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. Vicki is survived by her daughter, Misty D. Caber of Tampa, Fla.; and her son, Randy H. Caber Jr. in New Mexico; and her extended family. In accordance with Vicki’s wishes, there will be no public service. Donations can be made in Vicki’s name to Pet Pal Animal Shelter, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Raymond C. Nebgen, 89, of Altoona, passed away Saturday. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Ralph and Anna Louise (Stitzell) Nebgen. Surviving are his wife, Susan; daughters: Cheri Frederick, Shannon Boyle and Jessica Nebgen; his grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Burd and Marlene Lingenfelter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Nebgen. Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army.
