Joseph T. Vanneman, 83, of Gallitzin, died Saturday. He was born in Penn's Grove, N.J., son of the late Simon Vanneman and Lillian (Brumhammer) Sutphin. He was predeceased by brothers, William and Carl; and brother-in-law, John Franchetti. Surviving are his wife, Maria; sister-in-law, Debra Franchetti; and nephew, William Vanneman. Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran and served as a police officer for many years. Family will gather privately at Gibbons-Houser Funeral Home Inc., Gallitzin. A graveside service will be held Aug. 1, 2026, at Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, N.J.
