Mary Ellen Ritzenthaler, 85, of Sandusky, Ohio, died Saturday. Born in Chest Springs, she was the daughter of the late Ken and Ethel Rae (Jones) Sharbaugh. Surviving are her husband, George III; a brother, Thomas Sharbaugh; three nephews; three nieces; stepchildren: Cindy Ritzenthaler, Amy Brady, Dawn Failor, Lori Shupe and George IV; many great-nieces, great-nephews; and stepgrandchildren. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the funeral home.
