Richard E. Peck

Richard E. Peck, 85, of Duncansville, passed away Sunday at Cone­maugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring. He was born in Breezewood, a son of the late Walter T. and Bessie (Lane) Peck.

On Nov. 12, 1966, at Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church, he was united in marriage to Ruth Anna (Bouch) Peck.

Along with his wife of 59 years, he is survived by children, Royce Peck and fiancee, Rhonda Simanski, of Duncansville and Renee Friley, married to James, of Altoona; granddaughter, Angela Friley; great-

grandson, Waylon Rabuck; siblings: Audrey Fischer, married to J. Dale; Boyd Peck, married to Karole; Duane Peck, married to Susan; and Paul Peck, married to Ella.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Veryl Peck, Gussie Peck, Gerald Peck, Daniel Peck and Thelma Heim.

Richard was affiliated with the Brethren in Christ Denomination. He was a member of the Blair County Antique Auto Club and enjoyed working on cars and watching NASCAR racing.

He was a chef at Howard Johnsons in Duncansville and later worked at J.C. Penney's for more than 20 years.

Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, Breezewood, with Pastor Stacey Crawford and Pastor Kenneth Hinish officiating.

Burial will be held at Mountain Chapel Cemetery.
