B-A’s Stinson turns in perfect softball performance

FLINTON — Lainey Stinson pitched a perfect game, striking out all 12 batters she faced in Bellwood-Antis’ 16-0, four-inning victory over Glendale in high school softball on Wednesday.
Abby Clabaugh had three hits and four RBIs, and London McKee collected three hits and three RBIs to lead the Bellwood offense. Stinson contributed two hits and two RBIs, and Parker Martin had two hits.

Another no-hitter
TYRONE — Kaitlyn Rockwell threw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and two walks to lead Tyrone over West Branch, 8-0.
Rockwell also delivered at the plate, driving in three runs. Sage Harris had two hits and scored three runs for the Lady Eagles.

Altoona edged
Altoona’s offense came alive late, scoring 10 runs in the last three innings, but the Lady Lions came up short to Mifflin County, 15-12, at Logan Elementary Field.
Macy Pietzsch drove in four runs for Mifflin County, Ava Baker delivered three hits and three RBIs, and Piper Specht had three hits.
Charli Schneider and Kaya Sprankle each homered for Altoona, and Sprankle, Jayda Yost and Caroline Cafin each drove in two runs.

Hollidaysburg loses
NEW PARIS — Hollidaysburg kept battling from behind but ultimately fell short, 18-16, to Chestnut Ridge, which scored eight runs in the third inning.
Paige Morgart went 4-for-4 for Ridge with a home run and two doubles, Liza Ickes had three hits and three RBIs, Jaelyn Pincin delivered three hits, and Bella Datillo, who homered, and Ally Yarnell each drove in three.
Genevieve Peacock led the Hollidaysburg offense with three hits and four RBIs, Maggie Hicks had three hits and three RBIs, and Mikaylah Vincent added three hits and two RBIs. Alayna Mitchell contributed two hits.
