Delores J. ‘Dee’ Shaw-Fazenbaker

March 9, 1931 – April 21, 2026

Delores J. “Dee” Shaw-Fazenbaker, 95, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday. She was born in Osceola Mills to the late Lorenzo and Ruth (Fulton) Faughner.

Dee was preceded in death by her three husbands: James Blair Phillips, Harry M. Shaw and Vernon Fazenbaker.

Dee began her education in a one-room schoolhouse in Osceola Mills. She demonstrated a strong work ethic throughout her life, holding positions at Warnaco and Peggy’s Diner. She also tended bar at the Buccinese Society and the A&J Iaia American Legion Post.

A dedicated member of her community, she belonged to the American Legion Post 827 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary 8/40 Honor Society and the Red Hat Society. Her favorite pastimes included bingo, trips to casinos, flower gardening and above all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four children: Sherry Phillips, Jimmy Phillips (Sandi), Jamie Phillips and Lisa Campbell. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by her children: (infant) James George Phillips, Pamela Fisher and Mark Phillips. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Dustin James Phillips; her great-granddaughter, Lilah Campbell; and her four sisters: (her twin) Lois, Lucille, Betsy and Evelyn.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. A remembrance service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
