Altoona hockey falls

EBENSBURG — The Central Cambria ice hockey team defeated Altoona, 3-2, Tuesday night in a shootout during high school action at the Northern Cambria Recreation Center. The game ended in regulation tied at 2-2. The Red Devils, who improved to 9-8, won the shootout. Altoona dropped to 10-8. No shootout total was reported. EBENSBURG — With one game left in the regular season, the Hollidaysburg Area ice hockey team improved to 17-0 with a 6-2 win over Forest Hills Thursday night in high school action at the Northern Cambria Recreation Center. Shackley set for final D6 meet

From Mirror reports UNIVERSITY PARK — Four-time PIAA state champion Leah Shackley will be competing in the District 6 Swimming Championships this weekend at the Penn State University Natatorium. Shackley, a Bedford Area High School senior headed to North Carolina State in the fall, is top-seeded in both the 100-yard butterfly and 100 backstroke. She is the district record holder in both events with a time of 53.10 seconds in the butterfly and 50.83 in the backstroke.
