Everett adds prone state crown

EVERETT — The Everett Area High School rifle team earned its third state championship of the season on Tuesday by winning the 2024 PA Prone Team Championship. It is the first time Everett, which also won the smallbore and air rifle titles on Sunday, has won the prone title since 2020. Everett’s Trey Myers earned the individual state championship title as well with a 413.8. Kinzey Williams earned a silver medal with a 413.1. Four of the top 10 individuals in the state were from Everett with Maddux Northcraft fourth and Liam Tegeler eighth. The team is coached by Coltin Rice.

MEYERSDALE — Everett Area High School’s dominance in the sport of rifle continutes. Everett won both the smallbore and air rifle state championships at the 2024 PA Interscholastic Rifle Championships on Sunday. It was Everett’s sixth straight air rifle title and third straight smallbore (seventh out of the last eight years). In smallbore, Trey Myers led the way with a 572, which earned him fourth overall. Vikings roll to win

FLINTON – The Glendale wrestling team improved its record to 11-6 Wednesday night, thanks to a 51-19 win at home over Redbank Valley in high school action. The Vikings got pins from Daniel Williams (285), Zach Vereshack (145), Connor Oshall (189) to go with a technical fall win from George Campbell (172). Tigers hockey team shuts down State

Hollidaysburg got a two-goal performance from Kaden Kirkham — and a shutout in goal by Tyler Duey — in a 4-0 win over State College at Galactic Ice in high school play Thursday night. With the win, the Golden Tigers, who led 1-0 going into the final period, improved their perfect record to 14-0.
