Hollidaysburg triumphs again

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Hollidaysburg needed just three sets to capture a 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-9) win over Bedford Thursday night in girls high school volleyball. HOLLIDAYSBURG — Both the Hollidaysburg boys and girls swept Tyrone and Bedford in a high school cross country tri-meet on Wednesday. Reuben Manfred, Sebastian Diaz and Yvan Chen finished 1-2-3 as the Hollidaysburg boys beat Tyrone, 17-46, and Bedford, 16-47. The Bedford boys edged Tyrone, 26-29. The top-seeded doubles team of Crosby Denis and Grace Muriceak of Hollidaysburg advanced to today’s championship match of the District 4-6 Class 3A Doubles Tennis Tournament with two wins on Tuesday at the Summit Athletic Club.
