McCONNELLSBURG — The Northern Bedford girls soccer team had their season ended on Monday night, losing 3-1 at McConnellsburg in the District 5 Class 1A semifinals. “Going on the road to play the top team in the district is a difficult task,” NBC coach Marcus Yeatts said. “Our girls played with them for the first half.” Serenity Rengifo scored a hat trick in the second half for McConnellsburg in a game that was 0-0 at halftime. “It was the kind of game where it felt like the team that scored first would win and they got the first goal,” Yeatts said. STATE COLLEGE — Hollidaysburg Area sophomore Crosby Denis followed up her round of 80 with a 79 on Tuesday and finished tied for 22nd in a field of 35 golfers in the PIAA Class 3A girls golf championships at the Penn State White Course.
