Laurel Highlands’ winter all-conference teams out

The Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference recently released its all-conference selections for this past winter sports season for boys and girls basketball, swimming and wrestling featuring players from Blair and surrounding counties. In girls basketball, Hollidaysburg’s Bella Vent was named MVP in the Eastern Conference. First-teamers included Bellwood-Antis’ Lilly Gerwert, Bishop Guilfoyle’s Maurie Querry and Morgan Ruggery, along with Hollidaysburg’s Clare Padamonsky. Lady Lions ‘triumph’ versus MC, State College

Triumph Kilmartin won three events, the high jump, long jump and triple jump, and Ashlyn Noce captured the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs to help Altoona’s girls track and field team defeat State College, 90-60, and Mifflin County, 134-16, at Mansion Park Tuesday. High school all-star basketball game April 7

EBENSBURG — The Cambria County All-Star Senior Classic will be held on Sunday, April 7, at Central Cambria High School. The game will feature boys and girls basketball players from schools in the Mountain League, Heritage Conference and West-PAC.
