The Altoona boys tennis team improved to 3-4 with a 3-2 win over Central Mountain in high school action at the Leopold Courts.
The Mountain Lions picked up a singles win from Josh Adams, and then swept the doubles events, thanks to Aiden Aiken and Avery Lanzendorfer, along with Max Chille and Jackson Whitaker.

HOLLIDAYSBURG -- The Hollidaysburg boys tennis team is 6-0 after a 5-0 win over Tyrone.
The Tigers got singles wins from Garrett Bouchard, Felix Xu and Aamir Azad to go with doubles victories from the teams of Alex Arbogast-Jacob Sidney and Noah Kanish-Kaden Kirkham.

Marauders fall short
The Bishop Guilfoyle boys volleyball team opened its season Thursday night with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-19 loss to Forest Hills in high school action at the Pleasant Valley gym.
The Marauders got five service points, four kills and three digs from Jacob Mellott to go with five digs and five kills from Noah Kelleher.
