Central Cambria gets walk-off win over Tyrone

EBENSBURG — Kaydence Sinclair singled to left field to score Ella Neves from third to give Central Cambria a 13-12 walk-off win over Tyrone in the bottom of the ninth inning on Friday in high school softball action.

Sinclair led the Lady Red Devils with four hits and three runs batted in, while Camryn Matlin smacked two hits and pushed across four runs.

Katie Scott ended with two hits for CC, and Rowyn Ruddek delivered two RBIs.

Kaitlyn Rockwell fronted the Lady Eagles with three hits and two RBIs, while Lucy Fogleman added two htis and three runs batted in.

Sage Harris notched two hits and two RBIs for Tyrone, Maddy Harper posted three hits, while Amariah Sprankle and Ally McNelis finished with two hits apiece.

JOHNSTOWN — Bellwood-Antis recorded 12 runs in the top of the fourth inning en route to a 22-0 win over Johnstown.

Parker Martin smacked two hits, including a home run, and knocked in five runs for the Lady Blue Devils, Palynn Gregg delivered four hits and three RBIs, and winning pitcher Lainey Stinson gave up one hit and struck out nine.

Avery Conlon came through with three hits and three runs batted in for B-A, while Abby Clabaugh finished with two hits and two RBIs and London McKee added two hits.

Byrne paces BG

EBENSBURG — Winning pitcher Leah Byrne struck out seven in the circle, and helped herself at the plate with three hits and four RBIs to lead Bishop Guilfoyle to a 15-4, five-inning victory over Bishop Carroll.

Keira Ronan bagged two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Marauders, which put up seven runs in the second and eight more in the fourth, while Rowan Craig pushed across two runs.

Hannah Strittmatter smacked a three-run home run for the Lady Huskies in the first inning.

FLINTON — Juniata Valley put up at least two runs in each of the five innings that got played in a 14-2 win over Glendale.

Riley Mease went 4-for-4 with four RBIs, while Klohie Brown smacked a double and homer while driving home six runs for the Lady Green Hornets.

Gracie Smith tallied two hits and two RBIs, while Braelyn Hall tacked on two runs batted in for JV.

Glendale got two hits from Elizabeth Kaufman.
