Surviving are his life partner, Dianna Mattiello; two daughters, Helena Mattiello and Laurie Zierer-Tsakalis; three stepdaughters: Laura Nearhoof, Lisa Heck and Tabatha Phan; two stepsons, John Mattiello and Michael Mattiello; a granddaughter, Zoe Tsakalis; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
