Wanda E. Liebal, 91, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday. She was born at Canoe Creek, daughter of the late Raymond S. Leaper and Dorothy Ella (Wileman) Wilson. During her childhood, Wanda resided at the Children’s Home of Williamsburg for a number of years with her brothers. She went on to graduate from Hollidaysburg High School in 1953. Her husband, Robert Liebal, of Ganister, preceded her in death. They were married on Aug. 29, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williamsburg by Father Francis Hoy. Beverly A. Roseweir, 84, Clearfield, formerly of Houtzdale, died Wednesday. Born in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Helen (Sakosky) Visnofsky. Surviving are children: Jeffery, Deb Pekarovich, Pamela Buck and Debra Luzier; five grandchildren; and sisters, Donna and Carol. Beverly was also preceded in death by grandchildren: Reba and Jeffery Buck and Lily Roseweir. A service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
