Susan J. Geist died Sept. 13, 2025, at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. Susan is the daughter of the late Robert Raihl and Levella Waltz. She married William R. “Bill” Geist on Feb. 2, 1976, in Altoona. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Hanna Geist and Angellina Geist; three sons; Douglas, William and Alan; four brothers: Jimmy, Jerry, David and Raymond; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby, Randolph and Donald; and a sister, Linda. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. ...

Margaret A. Hertel, 88, Gallitzin, died Thursday. She was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Della Hertel. Norma J. (Claycomb) Imler, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away Thursday. She was born in rural New Enterprise, daughter of the late Thomas and Abi (Hitechew) Claycomb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross; brothers: Stanley, Eugene, Robert and Clyde; and sisters, Dorothy Reighard and Martha Bush. Surviving are sisters, Ida Hay and Anna Mary Clapper; special friends: Paul, Janet and Nancy; and many nieces and nephews.
