Police: Search of man’s room turned up urine

Paraphernalia, “Whizzinator” also found

A city man faces charges after police allegedly found a “Whizzinator” and drug paraphernalia in his bedroom.

Jeffrey S. Snaman, 28, was jailed Monday after his arraignment on misdemeanor charges stemming from the discovery of drug paraphernalia and the Whizzinator — the brand-name of system that is sold with a prosthetic penis, reservoir and synthetic urine that is marketed to people who want to beat drug tests, according to charges filed by Altoona police.

Police also uncovered needles and other drug paraphernalia in Snaman’s bedroom, along with a bag of computer flash drives. Police said there were additional bottles of urine found with the Whizzinator.

Charges did not indicate if police found anything on the flash drives.

Magisterial District Judge Andrew Blattenberger set bail for the two misdemeanor charges at $30,000 cash on Monday morning, and Snaman, who was found at his home at 1216 14th Ave., Apt. 14, Sunday when police were dispatched to the apartment for a report of suicide attempt, was lodged in the Blair County Prison.

After police found another man who had cut himself on the couch and as officers checked his condition, other officers secured the apartment and allegedly saw a syringe and a burnt spoon sitting out. The Whizzinator, drug paraphernalia and flash drives were found after police secured a search warrant.

Police said Snaman told officers he had used the device twice to pass a drug test because he was in a facility that didn’t allow Suboxone use. Police noted Snaman is on probation and is subject to urine testing.

Snaman remains in Blair County Prison and is scheduled to appear at Central Court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 8.
