Blair County Bar Association revives Constitution Day celebrations
HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Blair County Bar Association is proud to announce the revival of its annual Constitution Day Contest and Ceremony.
Blair County students in kindergarten through 12th grade can participate by submitting posters, poems and essays exploring the theme “What Does ‘We the People’ Mean to You?”
The Blair County Bar Association is joining organizations across the state and country in celebrating Constitution Day. Celebrating Constitution Day gives students an opportunity to learn about the United States and Pennsylvania constitutions through fun and informative learning activities.
It makes civic learning inviting and entertaining for students of all ages.
Contest submission guidelines
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can submit a poster no larger than 12 inches by 18 inches. Students in sixth through 12th grade can submit an essay or poem. Each essay shall be no more than 250 words. Each poem will fit on 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. No identifying information on the front of any poster, poem or essay; each student’s name, grade, teacher and school should be listed on the back for unbiased judging.
One winner from each grade will win a gift card and will get to present their work during the Constitution Day ceremony at the Blair County Courthouse. All posters submitted will be on display at the Blair County Courthouse on Constitution Day, Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Submissions should be made to 513 Allegheny St., Suite 4, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 or via email to admin@blaircountybar.org no later than end of day Sept. 10.

What to expect
A ceremony including presentations from all winning students, Blair County President Judge Wade Kagarise, Blair County Bar Association President Traci Naugle, Esq., and Executive Director, Emily Evey and more.
Light refreshments will be served post-ceremony.
