50 years ago: February 10, 1975

The Ward Trucking Company, W.W. Ward president, announced a $300,000 expansion at 31st Street and 6th Avenue to house their general offices, truck repair, loading units for 30 trucks and storage for 70 trucks and trailers.

25 years ago: February 10, 2000

A $105,600 Pennsylvania Safe Schools grant allowed the Altoona Area School District to install 47 security cameras at Altoona Area High, 14 at Roosevelt Jr. High and 12 at Keith Jr. High, to be on 24 hours a day.

10 years ago: February 10, 2015

The Nehemiah Project at Hope Community Church, John Gray pastor, was working on opening a “Transformation House” in Fairview to help men released from prison or drug rehab transition to normal life.
