Austin Slezak threw a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts, and Latrobe won the 2026 Curve Invitational at PNG Field, 17-2, in five innings over Juniata Valley in Friday’s championship game.
Joe Razza and Aaryn Chappel each had three hits and three RBIs for Latrobe.

Tigers roar
HOLLIDAYSBURG — Hollidaysburg scored nine times in the second inning on its way to a 15-0 victory in three innings over Penn Cambria on Friday in high school baseball.
Josh Banks had two hits and four RBIs. Cole Hartman and Tanner Rossman both tripled for the Tigers. Vince Boland picked up the win on the mound, whiffing five batters.
Drake Talko had the only hit for Penn Cambria.

Altoona won the regularly-scheduled game, 10-3, over State College but lost the completion of a suspended game at Mansion Park.
Connor Waite went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, Eric McAllister homered, doubled and drove in two, and Kody Webster had two hits and two RBIs. Carter McConnell and Waite combined on a one-hitter.
In the completion of a suspended game, Connor Kulka, who had homered in the game, hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift State College, 9-8.
McConnell and Brayden Pike each drove in two runs for the Mountain Lions.

HOUTZDALE — Claysburg scored two runs to tie the game in the top of the second, but didn’t score again in a 7-2 loss at Moshannon Valley.
Mason Campagna and Brayden Haney both had two hits for the Bulldogs, which dropped to 10-5 on the season.
