LOCK HAVEN — The Altoona girls finished second to State College in the Lock Haven University High School Track and Field Classic at the Glen Allison Family Complex on Friday.

The Altoona girls had 151 team points to State College’s 170 in the 21-team meet. The Altoona boys finished eighth among 19 teams with State College also winning the boys meet.

Kihlee Noel led the way for the Lady Lions by winning the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 8.75 inches and the discus at 133-3. Annalyse Yost won the javelin at 133-1, and Megan Kelly was second at 115-11.

Hannah Owulade won the long jump in 17-11.5 for Altoona, and she was also second in the 100 hurdles at 15.45 and third in the triple jump at 35-11.5.

Altoona’s 3200 relay team of Brionna Adams, Ashlyn Noce, Emma Etters and Lana Luke was also victorious with a winning team of 9 minutes, 36.79 seconds, and the 1600 relay team of Adams, Brooklyn Weaver, Adelyn Himmelwright and Sophia O’Dea was first in 3:56.03.

Jill Long was second in the triple jump at 37-11.25 and second in the long jump at 17-2. Taylor Lear was third in the high jump at 5-2 and fifth in the long jump at 16-7.25.

Noce was second in the 1600 run at 4:59.80, and Adams was sixth in 5:25.95. Noce was also second in the 3200 run in 11:04.56, and Etters was eighth in 11:56.15.

O’Dea was third in the 100 dash at 12.81, and Bailey Barron was fourth in 12.96. Barron was also sixth in the 200 dash in 26.93

Emerson Snare was third in the 2000 steeplechase at 8:06.32, and Himmelwright was seventh in the 300 hurdles in 48.53.

Collin Lutz had the highest finish for the Altoona boys by placing second in the pole vault at 13-6. Jensen Treece and Nathaniel Wolfe tied for seventh place in the pole vault at 11-6.

The Altoona 1600 relay team of Alec Layton, Dominic Verticelli, Noah Stump and Colin Etters was second in 3:24.31.

Seth Lieb was third in the 2,000 steeplechase at 6:42.76, and the Altoona 400 relay team of Verticelli, Mekhi Jackson, Stump and Etters was third in 44.05

Stump was fifth in the 300 hurdles in 41.71, and Verticelli was fifth in the 200 dash in 23.24.
