Tigers, Lions both pick up wins

EBENSBURG — Hollidaysburg controlled the game from the start in earning a 9-0 shutout victory over Westmont Hilltop in high school hockey play at North Central Recreation Center Tuesday night. The Tigers remain perfect at 13-0. Goalie Tyler Duey stopped seven shots to earn the shutout, while Kaden Kirkham recorded two goals and an assist. SAINT MARYS — The Altoona gymnastics team kept its perfect record intact on Monday night, winning at Saint Marys, 141.05-129.525 in high school action. Claire Piper won the vault (9.425), the bars (9.175), beam (9.55) and the all-around (37.6) as Altoona improved to 8-0. Teammate Maddy Pastore was first in the floor at 9.5. CC swim team garners two wins over Altoona

EBENSBURG — The Central Cambria High School swimming teams swept Altoona Area in a dual meet on Wednesday. Alex Burns won the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly for the Central Cambria boys in their 90-72 win. Altoona received double wins from Christopher Fox (200 freestyle, 100 freestyle) and Trevor Wilson (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke).
