Lincoln Speedway
Abbottstown — The $6,500-to-win Barry Skelly Memorial at Lincoln Speedway lived up to its billing on Saturday night, with a dramatic three-car battle to the checkered flag, capping off an action-packed 30-lap feature.
Front-row starters Glenndon Forsythe and Chris Arnold led the field to green, with Forsythe jumping to the early lead as Dallas Schott and Arnold settled into the top three.
Early action saw JJ Loss making his way forward, challenging for a podium spot while Forsythe built a strong advantage in clean air.
By lap eight, Forsythe began working lapped traffic, allowing the battle behind him to narrow the gap. Loss and Schott traded slide jobs for second as Brandon Rahmer cracked the top five.
A lap 13 caution for Jordan Strickler erased Forsythe’s 1.3-second lead and reset the field.
On the restart, Schott surged to the inside and powered into the top spot, with Rahmer and Troy Wagaman, also making moves inside the top five.
Loss slid into second and began stalking the new leader, throwing slide jobs before finally edging ahead at the line on lap 21. Once in command, Loss pulled away, stretching his lead to over 2.5 seconds with just five laps to go.
Schott and Wagaman, running second and third, made contact in turn two. Both cars came to a stop, setting up a three-lap dash to the finish.
In the end, Rahmer held off Loss and Bollinger to secure the Barry Skelly Memorial victory for his first win at Lincoln since 2020.
