Grubbs, a graduate of Serra Catholic High School, is one of the most accomplished players in the 79-year history of Mountain Cat basketball. He was a member of the 2008-09 NCAA Tournament team. After graduating from Pitt-Johnstown in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, Grubbs spent a year coaching at the IMG Academy in Florida before returning to Johnstown to join Rukavina’s staff full-time in 2014-15. He had previously served as a student-assistant coach during the 2012-13 season.
