The Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday announced that Saturday, Sept. 3 will be the date of the team’s inaugural Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The Pirates will hold a special induction ceremony early that afternoon on PNC Park’s Riverwalk and honor the first-ever Pirates Hall of Fame class on the field prior to their 6:35 p.m. game against the Toronto Blue Jays. AKRON, Ohio — The Curve continued their hot start to the second half with a victory Wednesday night, although there was some disappointing news earlier in the day. Altoona beat Akron, 6-3, at Canal Park to improve to 5-2 in the second half. AKRON, Ohio — Due to Akron’s city-wide curfew, the Akron RubberDucks postponed the game against the Altoona Curve scheduled for Monday.
