Sara Ray Swartz, 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Park Ray and Charlotte Weston Ray. Sara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Swartz; her brothers: Park Ray, Don Ray and Dale Ray; and her sisters: Beryl Nearhoof, Roxanne Shultz and Cindy Rodgers. She is survived by her son, Kevin Swartz (Teresa) of Tyrone; and her daughter, Karol Fink of Lancaster. Bernadette L. (Holland) Gibboney, 101, of Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday. She was born in Blandburg, daughter of the late William E. and Rachel I. Holland. She married Maurice L. Gibboney in 1946. He preceded her in death in 2012 after sharing 66 years of marriage. Surviving are two sons, John and Harry; a sister, Debbie; and a brother, Carl. She was preceded in death by six siblings. Bernadette was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. Private interment will be at Royer Cemetery.
