Robert A. ‘Bobby’ Gaeto

Bobby shared 38 beautiful years with his devoted wife, Lori A. (Hughes) Gaeto, whom he married on Sept. 12, 1987, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Altoona.

Bobby will be remembered as a kind, outgoing soul who cherished his family above all else. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lori; his siblings: Marjorie Claar (David), Susan McGeary (Ron), Joseph Gaeto (Patty), Theresa Finamore and Mary Dodson (Alan); his sister-in-law, Rebecca Gaeto; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Thomas, James and Vincent Gaeto Jr.

A 1982 graduate of Altoona Area High School, Bobby later furthered his education at South Hills Business School, earning a degree in CAD Drafting.

A master of many trades, he was a skilled self-employed custom cabinet maker and millworker, later serving as an estimator and draftsman in the manufacturing industry.

Bobby was a true “tinkerer” who could fix anything he put his hands on. He had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and enjoyed traveling to rallies in Sturgis, Daytona and beyond. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the outdoors with his loyal dogs: Sadie, Kylie, Ella and Indigo.

Bobby lived life with warmth and enthusiasm. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bobby’s life from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona, where a memorial service will follow at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bobby’s memory to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
