Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Lazere

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Lazere, 89, of Portage, passed away Aug. 31, 2026. She was born in Cassandra, daughter of the late John and Mae (Kelly) Lazere. She was also preceded in death by her lifelong friend, Dolores Berger; and her siblings: Jack, Frederick, Peter, Doris, Raymond, Donald, Margaret, Herb and Janet Kay. Betty is survived by her brother, Kenneth Lazere (Lynn); and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore. Committal at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
