Derwood F. Walter Sr., 80, of Altoona, died Saturday. He was born in Blue Knob, son of the late Martin and Mary (Eichelberger) Walter. Surviving are three children: Derwood Jr., Mary Kay Sessa and Laurel Rodriguez; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Delores Renney and Ruby Keller. He was preceded in death by his partner, Shirley Payne; and several siblings. Derwood was a U.S. Army veteran. Joshua W. Williams, 35, of Altoona, died Friday. He was born in Huntingdon, the son of Jeffrey Williams. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Michele (Kinser); daughters: Neveah and Violet Williams, and Danielle Miller; sons: Jonathan Miller, Draven and Braydon Williams; his father and stepmother, Jeff and Gretchen Williams; his grandmother, MaryJane Hoffman; and siblings: Jessica Williams, Misty Conley and Tylishia Julian. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Williams. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

Patrick M. Flanagan, 68, of East Freedom, died Sept. 1, 2026. He was the son of the late Raymond and Laura (Ritchey) Flanagan.
