Margaret A. Hertel

Margaret A. Hertel, 88, Gallitzin, died Thursday. She was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Della Hertel. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine; grandsons, Tyrman “Tony” III and TyRelle White; a great-grandson; a brother, William Jr.; three nephews; estranged daughter, Melissa Kroll; and an estranged granddaughter. Her long-time companion, Lloyd Hollen, preceded her in death. Norma J. (Claycomb) Imler, 93, of Martinsburg, formerly of New Enterprise, passed away Thursday. She was born in rural New Enterprise, daughter of the late Thomas and Abi (Hitechew) Claycomb. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross; brothers: Stanley, Eugene, Robert and Clyde; and sisters, Dorothy Reighard and Martha Bush. Surviving are sisters, Ida Hay and Anna Mary Clapper; special friends: Paul, Janet and Nancy; and many nieces and nephews. Wanda E. Liebal, 91, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday. She was born at Canoe Creek, daughter of the late Raymond S. Leaper and Dorothy Ella (Wileman) Wilson. During her childhood, Wanda resided at the Children’s Home of Williamsburg for a number of years with her brothers. She went on to graduate from Hollidaysburg High School in 1953. Her husband, Robert Liebal, of Ganister, preceded her in death. They were married on Aug. 29, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Williamsburg by Father Francis Hoy. Beverly A. Roseweir, 84, Clearfield, formerly of Houtzdale, died Wednesday. Born in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Helen (Sakosky) Visnofsky. Surviving are children: Jeffery, Deb Pekarovich, Pamela Buck and Debra Luzier; five grandchildren; and sisters, Donna and Carol.
