Margaret A. Hertel, 88, Gallitzin, died Thursday. She was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Della Hertel. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine; grandsons, Tyrman "Tony" III and TyRelle White; a great-grandson; a brother, William Jr.; three nephews; estranged daughter, Melissa Kroll; and an estranged granddaughter. Her long-time companion, Lloyd Hollen, preceded her in death. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at The Salvation Army Service Center, 1813 Sixth Ave., Altoona. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.
