Helen (Amick) Fowkes, 99 ½, of Lawrenceville, N.J., passed away at her home comforted by her daughter, Amy Aileen Fowkes; and her grandchildren, Cody Butler and Zane Zapata. Helen was born in Wells Tannery, Pa. She was raised in Claysburg and married her high school sweetheart, William Fowkes, on March 27, 1946. After traveling around the United States and the world with her Air Force husband and four children, she and Bill retired and moved to Blue Knob, near their relatives in the central Pa. area. Margaret L. Malovich, 102, formerly of Bellwood, died Thursday evening at Midtown Oaks Health and Rehab Center, Altoona. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late James and Sarah (Ayers) Barrett. On Dec. 3, 1948, in West Virginia, she married Joseph J. Malovich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1994. Surviving are her three children: Joseph J. II and Robert P. Malovich and Sherryl L.
