Margaret L. Malovich

Margaret L. Malovich, 102, formerly of Bellwood, died Thursday evening at Midtown Oaks Health and Rehab Center, Altoona. She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late James and Sarah (Ayers) Barrett.
On Dec. 3, 1948, in West Virginia, she married Joseph J. Malovich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1994.
Surviving are her three children: Joseph J. II and Robert P. Malovich and Sherryl L. Valdez; six grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family, preceded in death by siblings: Betty Forshey, William, Frank, Harry, Kathryn Burk, Pauline Bell, Lois Johnsonbaugh, Sarah Clark and Jeanne Brubaker.
Margaret retired as a cashier at the A&P store after 27 years of service.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Her favorite pastimes were visiting with her neighbors, playing bingo and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
