James W. “Jim” Way, 79, of Altoona and Claysburg, passed away Saturday at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Hyndman, son of the late Paul S. “Silky” and Gertrude E. (Albright) Way. Surviving are brothers, Thomas and Paul B. of Claysburg; nieces: Tracy, Sierra and Lily Walter; and nephews, Michael and David Way. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Eicher; Uncle Bob; Uncle Howard; and Aunt Mary. Jim retired from GREFCO, Claysburg, and NAC, Duncansville, as a machine operator. Herbert L. Wilt Sr., 75, Altoona, died Sunday evening at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Ira L. Sr. and Dorothy M. (Lafferty) Wilt. He married Mary Louise Fogle on Oct. 14, 1967, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Altoona. Jane C. Maucieri, 86, of Altoona, died at UPMC Altoona Saturday surrounded by her family. Jane was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Stanley Sr. and Ruth (Kinney) Wilinski. Jane married Nickolas A. Maucieri on Oct. 17, 1959, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Altoona. Mary Ann Waite, 80, of Clearfield, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. Born July 1, 1945, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Teresa (Fundanish) Pesansky.
