James W. "Jim" Way, 79, of Altoona and Claysburg, passed away Saturday at Altoona Hospital. He was born in Hyndman, son of the late Paul S. "Silky" and Gertrude E. (Albright) Way.
Surviving are brothers, Thomas and Paul B. of Claysburg; nieces: Tracy, Sierra and Lily Walter; and nephews, Michael and David Way.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Eicher; Uncle Bob; Uncle Howard; and Aunt Mary.
Jim retired from GREFCO, Claysburg, and NAC, Duncansville, as a machine operator.
He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Pastor David Way will officiate. Interment will be held at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
