JOHNSTOWN –– The Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Foundation will hold its third annual Chef Auction fundraiser at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in downtown Johnstown. All proceeds from the event go toward the Supporting Scholars Fund and future Culinary Arts scholarships. The first two events raised more than $118,000 for student scholarships. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and silent auction. The events will take place at the college’s Richland Campus, as well as its locations in Altoona, Bellefonte, Ebensburg and Somerset. These recipients rank in the top 15% of their class based on their junior year cumulative grade point average. They exhibit discipline and drive to excel academically, demonstrate the characteristics that positively reflect Bishop Guilfoyle Academy and receive recommendation by 75% of faculty.
