Heights boys win

ARMAGH — The Cambria Heights boys captured the team title in the Heritage Conference Championship Track and Field Meet on Tuesday at United High School. Heights finished with 106 team points to edge out Northern Cambria and Marion Center, both with 96 points. Senior Steven Yeckley and junior Tanner Trybus led the way for the Highlanders with two wins each. Yeckley won the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, and Trybus prevailed in the triple jump and long jump. Two wins enough to give Central Cambria boys title

BEDFORD — The Central Cambria boys clinched the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference championship with two wins in high school track and field action on Wednesday. The CC boys topped Bedford, 91-59, and Bishop Guilfoyle, 148-0. Bedford, which finished second in the league, beat BG, 146-0. Ben Grata placed first in both hurdles races for the Red Devils. BELLEFONTE — Ethan Stroup and Branson Adams each won three individual events to help the Altoona boys beat Bellefonte, 115-35, in high school track and field action on Tuesday. Stroup won the shot put, discus and javelin, and Adams won the 200-meter dash, long jump and triple jump.
