The Altoona Area High School boys and girls track and field teams beat Hollidaysburg to end their seasons undefeated on Thursday at Mansion Park. The boys won, 109-41, and the girls won, 86-55. Jake Adams won two events and tied Brady Gehret’s Altoona long jump record with a mark of 23 feet, 9 inches. Ethan Stroup won three events and broke the senior shot put record with a throw of 56-6. WINDBER — Portage’s Alex Chobany captured the 800- and 1,600-meter runs at the WestPAC high school track and field championships on Wednesday. Isabella Bartoletti won the javelin, and Alyssa Hoberney was the high jump champion for the Lady Mustangs, who finished as the runner-up behind champion Conemaugh Township. BELLEFONTE — Both the Hollidaysburg Area boys and girls captured the team titles at the Mountain League Championship Track and Field Meet on Tuesday at Bellefonte Area High School. The Hollidaysburg boys compiled 147 team points to easily outdistance the field. Bellefonte was second with 84, and Tyrone tied Huntingdon for third with 75.
