The Blair County Sports Hall of Fame is seeking nominations of individuals and teams to be considered for its next induction (April 13, 2024). Nominations of individuals and teams should be accompanied by documentation of achievements that would include newspaper articles, information from colleges or professional teams and statistics pulled from websites. Hollidaysburg gets sweep at ML meet

From Mirror reports BELLEFONTE — Hollidaysburg captured both the boys and girls titles in the Mountain League Track and Field Championships on Tuesday at Bellefonte Area High School. Isaac Yarnell won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and Caden DeLattre won the long jump and triple jump for the Hollidaysburg boys, who also got wins from Nathan Grabill in the high jump and Carter Belton-Ruiz in the javelin. Altoona honored its five seniors — Garrett Baumgartner, Dustin Baughman, Landen Fisher, Zach Ronan and Brock Winters — and then went out and beat Central Dauphin East, 20-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-9, in high school boys volleyball action at the AAHS Fieldhouse on Monday. DERRY — The Central High School boys volleyball team fell to 0-14 Friday night after losing to Derry, 25-11, 25-11, 25-14.
