BEDFORD — Four pitchers combined on a three-hitter to lift Central to an 8-0 shutout victory over Bedford on Friday in high school baseball action.

Brody Mellott, who got the win, Colton Porecca, Coltin Harbaugh and Bentley Dickson each had two strikeouts for the Scarlet Dragons.

Wyatt Dilling doubled and drove in three runs for Central, while Troy McNichol and Mason Sparks smacked two hits apiece.

Lady Vikings downed

CURWENSVILLE — Glendale was held to two hits and one run in an 11-1, six-inning loss at Curwensville on Friday in high school softball.

Mya Markel and Elizabeth Kaufman each singled for the Lady Vikings.

Winning pitcher Addison Siple struck out 15, walked none and helped herself out at the plate with three hits for the Tide, while teammate Addison Warren finished with three hits and two RBIs.

Glendale closes out its season at 4-16.
