Bonnies’ guard coming to PSU for basketball

UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State men’s basketball coach Mike Rhoades announced the signing of guard Dasonte Bowen ahead of the 2026-27 Penn State men’s basketball season.
Bowen, who spent two seasons at St. Bonaventure and two seasons at Iowa, comes to Penn State as a graduate student.
The 6-foot-2 guard has totaled 661 points, 277 assists and an 81-percent free-throw shooting average in two seasons at his two previous stops. He made 43 starts for the Bonnies the last two seasons, averaging 10.9 points-per game, 4.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game.
In his first two collegiate years at Iowa, he played in 51 games and averaged 4.4 points per game and 2.0 assists per game. In high school, he averaged 15.2 points per game and shot 90 percent from the foul line/

UNIVERSITY PARK — The Penn State baseball team will play in the 2027 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series on March 5-7 next season at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Rangers.
The Nittany Lions are joined in the series by Dallas Baptist, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, UCLA and Wake Forest. Ole Miss was a participant in the College World Series, while Mississippi State played in an NCAA Super Regional. UCLA hosted a regional and Wake Forest played in the Morgantown Regional.
Home plate reserved tickets go on sale on Thursday at 10 a.m. at CollegeBaseballSeries.com. Home plate reserved tickets include access to all three days of the tournament and reserved seating.
