Venison dressing class set for Penn State

Penn State Extension will offer a class “Venison 101” to help hunters optimize their harvest by offering a comprehensive look at venison processing and cooking.

The class is on Aug. 7 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Penn State Butcher Block on the University Park campus.

Organizers note that space is limited so preregistration is required. The deadline to sign up is July 27 and the class fee is $350.

A team of extension experts —- that includes wildlife specialists, veterinarins, meat scientists and food safety experts — will teach the class.
