HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Blair United boys rugby team defeated Cumberland Valley over the weekend, 48-14, at Tiger Stadium to improve to 3-2 in Division II play this season.

BU jumped out to a 17-0 first-half lead behind successful tries from James Cowan and Mace Baker and a conversion from M.J. Flaugh.

BU got second-half tries from Sam Consiglio, Cayden Gragor and Chase Focht. Joey Richardson returned an intercept 30 meters for the locals to secure the win. Freshman Mason Stephens tacked on a try to set the final score.

The man of the match was BU’s Tyler Rodgers. Blair United will play Lancaster this Sunday.
