Hollidaysburg girls tennis triumphs over Tyrone

HOLLIDAYSBURG — The Hollidaysburg Area High School girls tennis team won its 59th consecutive regular season match with a 5-0 sweep of Tyrone on Monday.

Crosby Denis, Grace Muriceak and Emma Moritz each won singles matches in straight sets, as did the doubles teams of Taylor Eardley and Rina Stiffler, and Brooklyn Klingner and Olivia Panaro.

The Lady Tigers are 4-0 while Tyrone is 0-2.

CC downs Ridge

FISHERTOWN — Central Cambria won two singles matches and two doubles matches in topping Chestnut Ridge, 4-1.

Taryn Ream and Madison Dietz won in singles play, and Kat Kubat and Ireland DeBalli, and Daisy Smith and Chloe Sandoval prevailed in doubles action.

Ridge’s Haley Hundley won the No. 1 singles match without dropping a game.
