Tyrone athletic director Luke Rhoades confirmed the hiring of a new girls soccer coach for the Tyrone, Bellwood-Antis co-op to take over for Lance Robinson.

Rita Kendziora, a former Hollidaysburg and Saint Francis soccer player, will begin her first season next fall.

“Coach Kendziora brings a wealth of experience as a high-level soccer player and as a soccer trainer,” Rhoades said. “We are excited for her to bring the knowledge and experience playing at Saint Francis to help build our girls soccer program. As a teacher in the Bellwood district, we are hoping to continue the great relationship we have with our co-op and increase our numbers with players from both districts.”
