Vincent G. Burkhart Sr.

Vincent G. Burkhart Sr., 68, of Portage, passed away Sunday. He was born in Lancaster, son of the late Evelyn Mellinger Royal. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Dixie (Claar); children: Tanya Burkhart-Seilhamer (Russell), Vincent Jr. (Ariel), Michael William and Joseph Elijah; several grandchildren; and siblings: PJ Leaman, Tammy Pfautz and Billy Ober. Vince was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Kling. He enjoyed time with family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

Dennis Lee Feathers

Dennis Lee Feathers, 80, of Claysburg, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Brady O. and Jennie F. (Weyandt) Feathers. Dennis was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was employed as a woodsman, landscaper, shoe factory worker and custodian during his lifetime. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Friends will be received from 3 until the 5 p.m. funeral service Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Harry E. Miller Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 810 Bedford St., Claysburg, with Pastor Erik Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Upper Claar Cemetery.

Richard “Dick” Lumadue, 72, of Bear, Del., formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday at Christiana Hospital in Delaware. His partner, Karen Lully, was by his side. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Peter G. and D. Helen (McGrain) Lumadue. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Pete; a niece, Jean; and his furry companions, Susie and Juliet, who passed this last month.
