Richard "Dick" Lumadue, 72, of Bear, Del., formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday at Christiana Hospital in Delaware. His partner, Karen Lully, was by his side.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Peter G. and D. Helen (McGrain) Lumadue. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Pete; a niece, Jean; and his furry companions, Susie and Juliet, who passed this last month.
Surviving are his partner, Karen Lully; two brothers, Charles (Minnie) in Silverdale, Wash., and David (Mary Kay) in Pittsburgh; three sisters: Jane (Ray) of Lillian, Ala., Kathy (Bob) in Lincroft, N.J., and Eileen (Ralph) in Altoona; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick was an Eagle Scout, Troop 25, Altoona. He graduated in 1971 from Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School and later from Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh with a degree in computer programming.
He was employed by Century Wine & Spirits as a system analyst and also at NKS Liquor Distributors and Standard Distributors in Delaware.
Dick enjoyed gardening and always had a lot of great vegetables. He dearly loved his many fur buddies, especially Susie and Juliet.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
